I guess this time the pictures say it all. This weekend was my third weekend in Ghana and we took ourselves on a trip to paradise.
Kokrobite once more
We return to Kokrobite every weekend, because Charles just loves that place and likes the people very much. And luckily so do I! Hanging around at Big Millie’s, having good conversations with good people, seeing kids dance on the beach, meet local people. Everyone is just very warm and friendly. But since it was Gerrit and Jaouhara’s last weekend in Ghana, we wanted to get together with some other friends and family too.
Our journey continued the next day to White Sands Beach. We weren’t that enthusiastic at first to be honest, but I got to admit that it is indeed a little piece of paradise. Then again, it should be because you damn well pay for it and apparently you can only get in with some kind of membership. For instance, we had lunch and got charged 25 Cedis for garlic butter, while a freakin’ pizza costs 30 Cedis. At times there is absolutely no logic in things over here. Eventually we fought our way through till they took it of the bill. The amazing colorful, architectural, interior and beautiful landscaping made this trip worth the while.
